HFT Brass Electrode Rule may be ordered by specifying any of the identifying codes listed in the above table. (eg. "Alpha Code", "Decimal Code", "Metric Code" or "Score Line Code".) The "Score Line" code as per the above table is scribed on each piece of HFT Brass Rule.

The standard sealing height of all HFT Brass Rule is 23.56mm (0.928"). The tear-seal step (O.nnn") is added to the standard sealing height to indicate the actual overall height. The tearseal height is never lower than the sealing height (except in very specialized applications).

The standard sealing height of 23.56mm (0.928") is consistent for all sealing surfaces of HFT Brass Rule whether the rule is of a type having a combination "weld & tear-seal" or just a flat embossing weld without tearseal.

When using rule of the "single bevel" or "center bevel" knife type or sealing tear-seal punches of the "T" type alone and not in conjunction with any other type rule, the tearseal step height (or differential) need not be specified.
